10 teaching tips for using video

1. Make sure you use good lighting. 2. Make sure you are working in a quiet area so you get the sound you want. 3. Make sure your video has good transitions. 4. When using music make sure it adds to the content of the movie instead of distracting. 5. Have it be an engaging and fun video. 6. Make sure content in video is relevant. 7. Use color to represent themes. 8. Make sure your speech is clear both in pronunciation and word choice. 9. Don't exclude main events or key points. 10. Take multiple takes, don't be satisfied with the first take (unless its perfect then by all means go ahead).

1. Use websites that correlate to the main idea of what you're teaching. 2. Make questions age appropriate. 3. Don't make it super long, keep a max on the number of website's you've used. 4. Make it visually appealing. 5. Make sure the answers to the questions are easily accessible. 6. Make sure the instructions are clear and concise. 7. Make sure the websites are organized into subject matter. It needs to flow. 8. Have a hard copy and electronic copy available to the students to use. 9. Make sure you have an answer sheet. 10. Make it fun and engaging.

1. be aware of your zooming- motion 2. Don't over crowd your area- spacing 3. when you group stuff together make sure the following group correlates to the previous idea 4. be aware of your color choices- contrast vs. complement 5. Don't give everything away at the start 6. when zooming don't have everything super spread apart - it might make people sick 7. use the uploading feature for media to engage your audience 8. if you are making a prezi from a powerpoint use the main ideas but don't always upload the slides. 9. be creative when using prezi, use your imagination 10. have there be a set format and an overlaying theme.

1. Do not use to much text
2. Use the 6X6 rule involving how much text you use on the slide
3. Do not over decorate with pictures
4. Don't over animate
5. Don't just read off of the PowerPoint
6. Don't have a bajillion slides
7. Have a theme for the entire presentation
8. Use enticing colors
9. Add videos to the presentation
10. Use readable font, but have fun with it
